The next phase of the project will see four new facilities completed including a medicine and rehabilitation hospital, an ambulatory and surgical center, a women's hospital and a complete teaching and research complex. EC Harris will provide project and program management, design management and workforce planning services for the new complex utilizing expertise and experience gained in the delivery of many of the world's largest hospital complexes. The firm will be responsible for overall leadership and coordination of the project, providing input on areas ranging from the completion of design drawings through to assessing the number of staff that will be required once the project is complete.  This integrated approach will allow HMC to concentrate on delivering outstanding patient experience and moving forward their extensive healthcare plans for Qatar.

Conor Ellis, Global Account Leader, EC Harris said: "Hamad Medical Corporation has consistently looked to provide excellent healthcare services to the people of Qatar. The latest development of Hamad Medical City is further evidence of this ongoing commitment as the state of the art facilities will not only facilitate clinical and research developments but also help Qatar in their efforts to recruit and retain the best available staff".

EC Harris has already begun work on this extensive project, with the contract running for at least two years.
